In Scripture, wells were natural meeting places, and this one outside the city of Nahor becomes the setting where two paths cross at exactly the right time.
Rebekah meets Abraham’s servant on a normal visit to a well to draw water. It doesn’t look like much at first. She’s just running an errand…and runs into someone who would change the course of her life.
Abraham’s servant was on a simple mission. Find a wife for Isaac. The servant had just prayed for a clear sign from God, and immediately, Rebeka enters the chat and instead of gathering her own water, she offers water to Isaac as well as his camels!
The servant knows immediately his prayer has been answered. She is the one.
At this well, a marriage is set in motion, and Isaac’s future takes a turn.
