Bible Recap Notes – Week 10 (Days 64-70)

Day 64 – Numbers 23-25

I like all the lion and lioness imagery in today’s reading. Keeps giving me Lion of Judah vibes.

Not a whole lot “spoke” to me on today’s reading, and that’s ok. Maybe next year when I read it again it will. I am not discouraged, and you shouldn’t be, either, if a particular reading doesn’t hit you. Just gotta keep being obedient by continuing to read. My day (and your day) will come.

Here is Tara-Leigh’s video for the day. Always worth listening to her and what she finds and explains. She is much more knowledgeable than I am! Plus, it’s HER STUDY! She better have an answer!

Day 65 – Numbers 26-27

Lawwwd, census and counting. 🔢Math. Not my jam. But to be expected since the name of this book is literally “NUMBERS”. But I read it. Did you?

Moses commissions Joshua to lead the Israelites upon his death.

What hit me here is that the Lord told Moses he was going to die, and Moses’ first thought was not, “Please don’t!” Moses’ first concern was for the people. He wanted to make sure he had a worthy successor to keep the herd rounded up. 🐑

Day 66 – Numbers 28-30

Rams, lambs, and bulls, oh my!

Man, I need some Cliff’s Notes on all these offerings, and feasts and festivals.

Day 67 Numbers 31-32

31:8 – Rumor has it, Reba is a name in the Bible.

I’m sharing this map from Tara-Leigh’s video today. It is not mine. But it is great.

We are getting very close to the Promised Land.

Day 68 – Numbers 33-34

🎵Can’t stop now… I’ve traveled so far to change this lonely life.🎵🎵
Here is the route the Israelites took from Egypt to the Promised Land.

“Salt Sea” is the Dead Sea.
“Great Sea” is the Mediterranean.
“Sea of Chinnereth” is the Sea of Galilee.

This is the border of the Promised Land as per the Bible.

TLC makes an eye-opening remark in her video that God never says that other gods don’t exist. He is just the God of gods and is greater than all of them. Watch at about the 3:40 mark.

Day 69 – Numbers 35-36

Cubit is mentioned here a lot. Seems like a good time for a conversion chart. A cubit is about 18-inches.

35:16 – “But if he struck him with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer; the murderer must be put to death.” Another case for capital punishment. There are more verses in this chapter about this.

We have now finished five books of the Bible. Genesis, Job, Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers!
🎵1-2-3-4 come on baby say you love me, 5-6-7 tiiimes! 🎵

Day 70 – Deuteronomy 1-2

Ok, TLC starts off with a bang. Deuteronomy is the third most quoted Old Testament book in the New Testament, and the second most quoted book by Jesus. So we need to listen up good the next few days.

Learny Word of the Day: Wadi – a dry riverbed. It’s called a “wash” in Arizona…. we Learny-worded this in Week One, Day 5, but repetition is a foundation of real learning. Or … learny-ing.

More giants… Anakim, REphaim, Emim, Zamzummin, etc. Related to Nephilim. Dig if you must.
