Hey Jesus. I want the President to do well.
Friend, it’s good that you’re lifting up your heart for your leader. Scripture calls us to pray for those in authority and to seek their welfare:

Pray with purpose:
“First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people—for kings and all who are in authority…” (1 Timothy 2:1–2 NASB)
Bring President Trump before the Lord, asking for wisdom, integrity, and a heart for justice.

Trust God’s sovereign hand:
“The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will.” (Proverbs 21:1 NASB)
Pray that God would guide and shape his decisions according to His perfect will.

Seek righteousness for the nation:
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…” (Psalm 33:12 NASB)
Ask that America would turn to God’s ways and experience His blessing.

Commit his work to the Lord:
“Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3 NASB)
Pray that every strategy and policy would be placed in God’s hands, and that He would bring success as defined by justice, mercy, and truth.
. . .
You wanna pray?
Yeah, for sure.
Heavenly Father,
I lift up the President and all who hold authority over us. Grant them wisdom, humility, and a heart for justice. Guide their decisions to promote peace, protect the vulnerable, and uphold truth.

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10 NASB)

Soften our hearts, Lord, and teach us to live in a way that reflects Your love and righteousness, even when we disagree.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
